Product Description
Resin traps also named as media traps, are designed to install on either existing and new build strainer bodies to capture the media and resins from loss and prevent them from traveling downstream.
Normally, the resin trap screen is closed one side and has a flange on the other for easy installation. It can be made for flow-in-to-out (FITO) or flow-out-to-in (FOTI) filtration. The resin trap screen has continuous slots and smooth surface, the continuous slots can prevent the loss of ion exchange resin, activated carbon media, filter media,green-sand media, sand and other media. Not only is this essential to prevent the loss of expensive material, but it’s also critical to avoid damaging downstream equipment.
The slot sizes are as small to capture very small particle resins

Product Advantages
- Prevents Resin and Media Loss – Effectively captures ion exchange resins, activated carbon, and other filter media to prevent costly losses.
- Protects Downstream Equipment – Safeguards pumps, valves, and instrumentation from damage caused by escaping media particles.
- High Filtration Precision – Precisely engineered slot openings ensure efficient particle retention with minimal flow restriction.
- High Temperature Resistance – Suitable for filtration of hot liquids and gases without compromising performance.
- Durable and Easy to Install – Robust stainless steel construction with flange design allows simple integration into existing systems.
- Low Maintenance and Long Service Life – Smooth surface and self-cleaning capability reduce clogging and extend operational lifespan.
Applications
- Seawater Desalination Systems – Used to retain resins and filtration media in industrial desalination units.
- Industrial and Domestic Water Softening – Prevents resin leakage in water softeners and ion exchange systems.
- Condensate Polisher Systems – Protects turbines and boilers by capturing resin beads in power plant condensate lines.
- Carbon Filters – Prevents activated carbon particles from escaping into downstream pipelines.
- Dealkalizers and Demineralizers – Ensures reliable resin retention during chemical water treatment processes.
- Media Filtration Systems – Applied in various liquid treatment units for safe and efficient media containment.
